Effects of hemp topicals are usually felt within 15-30 minutes and last 4-6 hours.
Since topicals aren’t ingested, their side effects are generally limited to skin irritations. If you have sensitive skin, ensure you check the ingredients list before purchasing, and test on a small patch of skin prior to more liberal use.
Exceptions to Hemp Topicals
Exceptions to that are topicals that are in a transdermal base, meaning the formulation is engineered for deeper penetration and ingredients may enter the bloodstream. Transdermal topicals are very helpful for enhanced effects over standard topicals, but may cause unwanted effects of ingested products such as sleepiness.
