Immune-Boosting Smoothie Recipe from Hungry Heart Health

Did you know that our bodies are filled with toxins from years of eating processed and chemical filled foods? It’s not your fault! These foods are everywhere and filled with sneaky ingredients that your body cannot process, leaving them stuck in your body and causing a variety of problems such as skin issues, gut issues, bloating, anxiety (yes your gut and brain are VERY connected!), serious illnesses, and more!

Toxins also negatively affect your immune system and sleep.  So we are sharing with you one of our FAVORITE juice recipes, the Hunker Down Immune Hulk Juice.  All you need are the ingredients and a juicer OR a blender (if you use a blender, you’ll just need to grab some cheese cloths to squeeze out the juice after you blend).

Smoothies made in blenders are amazing for your body as well, but the reason for incorporating juice into your diet is that the juicer (or cheese cloth) removes the fiber from the vegetables and fruit therefore giving your digestive system a break – this means more energy becomes available to heal your body.

Your digestive system is always working so hard for you and when you incorporate juice into your diet, you are able to infuse your body with TONS of nutrients that remove built up toxins, all while gaining lots of energy for your favorite activities. 

Hunker Down Immune Hulk Recipe:


  • 1 cucumber
  • 3 green apples
  • 1/2 cup collard greens
  • 1 lemon (peeled if not organic)
  • 1/2 cup kale leaves
  • 1/2 bunch cilantro 
  • Pro tip: add 1-3ml of Vitality Tincture to boost your intake of herbal adaptogens & nootropics + full-spectrum hemp extract.


  • Using a juicer (or blender*) process half each of the cucumber, apples, collard greens, lemon, kale, and cilantro.
  • Repeat with remaining produce.
  • Whisk and serve!

Makes about three cups.

* if using a blender don’t forget to ring out your juice with a cheese cloth or nut bag!
